This is my new blog, and I've wanted to start it for a while now. Ever since I saw people doing 'booktube' back in 2011, I've wanted to do something similar, but then I didn't want to do youtube. I really do not think that standing in front of a camera and talking to nobody isn't something I would want to do at this point in my life. Writing is so much easier.
Now, a few facts about myself. I'm a 10th grader enrolled at a small Norwegian school in the middle of nowhere, and my name is Irene. I've had my difficulties in life, as everyone else has, and I live in my dad's basement. And no, my dad didn't chuck me down here, I chose it. It's almost like living in an apartment, except I get free food, housing, electricity, and of course internet. My sister says I'm an internet addict, but I enjoy books so much more. And that is why my blog is about books and not the internet.
I read mostly YA and some middle-grade books, but in the last year or so I've dove into classics and I've also read a few adult books. And I'm growing to like them, I just need some time. And therefore you will mostly be reading about YA books on this particular blog.
Also I will be participating in Dewey's 24-hour Read-a-Thon this Saturday (26th April) and that is one of the main reasons I am deciding to start this blog right now! And I think it will be an amazing way to get into the whole 'blogging' thing.
I hope you will be checking in!
-Irene x.
